Little House on the Prairie: Charles and Albert travel with the Cooper family while on a delivery. A serious accident occurs while the parents are trying to take their wagon down a steep hill, and in the blink of an eye, their two young children are orphans. As James and Cassandra struggle with this horrifying loss, Charles has a major dilemma in his lap when their only living relative cannot take them in, and although Charles can't bear the thought of putting them in an orphanage, he knows that he is not in a financial position to do what he wishes he could do more than anything. The point comes where Charles must step away emotionally and place the kids on an orphan train, but a heart-to-heart with his son Albert might open up some more options.
