Major: Oonuki, a scout for the prestigious Kaido High, arrives at the Mifune East versis Seibakun High game with the purpose of scouting Seibakun's 3 Senior League batters who play for Yokohama Senior. At the game however he is shocked to see how precise Goro's pitches are. He begins to envision seeing him at Kaido, but Goro tells him no since he knows Toshi desires to go there and he wants to play against Toshi. Hearing this Oomuki decides to scout Toshi and is shocked that a great catcher and potential cleanup batter is located on a no name team. He approaches Toshi afterwards though and tells him to give up Kaido because they want Goro, making Toshi mad and intensifying the rivalry the two already have.
