Last Exile: As soon as their message is delivered to Duke Madossein, the Guild is hit. Duke Madossein instructs everyone to get to safety, and Claus and Lavie are escorted to their vanship. Just as they are about to leave, Claus remembers that he still has the letter from Duke Madossein�s daughter, Holy. Since there�s no way back to the Duke, Lavie rigs the PA system in order to read it to the Duke and everyone else on board. However, the letter might be cut short, as the first officer sends guards to stop Claus and Lavie. But the guards aren't the only ones heading for the two young vanship pilots. Mullin Shetland, a soldier of The Guild, is touched by the words from the letter.
