Davey and Goliath: After a trip to the circus, Davey is wearied of mowing the lawn. "Work, work, work," he complains. He refuses to eat dinner and is sent to bed early. He and Goliath both dream they're in the circus, and when they wake up, that's where they decide to go. Davey's hopes are crushed when he's ordered to water the elephants. He tries his hand at trapeze flying and winds up in the net. The lion tamer's son Jody has a pet cub, which is "keen", but no home of his own. Davey resolves to return to his family, though he's afraid his father will tell him to "scram", too. But his father is glad to see the prodigal son return.
