The Bill: Inspector Gold organises a heavy police presence in a local shopping centre in a clampdown on youth crime. Two young shoplifters are arrested, and the boy is found to be in possession of forged banknotes. PC Taylor is assigned as childminder and bonds with the boy, while his colleagues investigate the boy's estranged father, who has a prior conviction for forgery. When suspicion turns to the boy's aunt, Gold is horrified, and decides to take extreme measures.
