Silver Linings Playbook

Based on the book by Matthew Quick, comes David O. Russell's (The Fighter) adaptation of his beloved novel. After a short time in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper) moves back in with his equally insane parents (Philadelphia Eagles "Super Fans") and hopes to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more interesting when Pat meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), an odd girl with some serious problems of her own. When Tiffany finds out that Pat is interested in giving a letter to his wife, she agrees to help him in return for a favor. As Pat and Tiffany's friendship grows, it seems that a silver lining starts to grow in each other's lives.

I read the book and watched the original film before seeing this adaptation. Even so, I ended up twisting in my seat the whole film. I couldn\'t find a single dull moment. The whole theater was ewwing and awwing and giggling. This film has its flaws, but it\'s very emotionally affecting nonetheless. It\'s thrilling and disturbing, and as real as a film can be. I can\'t wait to watch it again. - Compared w/ the First Film Adaptation - I say it\'s better than the original because more time is spent on the principle characters and the changes tend to make the story more believable. I prefer the acting and cinematography of the original film, but overall I think this is the best film adaptation anyone could hope for.$
